“Raise A Glass” was a project that I had been thinking about making for a while. Some time ago, I heard a story about a soldier who entered a bar alone, ordered 2 beers, and once served, slid one to the empty seat next to him. The bartender sort of looked confused, but as soon as the soldier said “Just getting home from overseas.. having a beer with a buddy of mine” the bartender knew exactly what was happening.
That story has always sort of stuck with me, and thats where “Raise A Glass” was born. I began thinking of different occasions, those little moments both happy and sad why people may ‘Raise A Glass’.

I originally heard about Golfin’ Old Glory just from being around the golf space.. After a cold DM to their Instagram account, 2 weeks later I was on a plane to Harbour Town in Hilton Head, SC to start filming.
Safe to say that I’ll remember this one for a long time to come.
Filmed on the Sony FX6.
I was solo on this one pretty much from start to finish. All cinematography (aside from a couple of interviews) and editing done by myself.
This was the 3rd or 4th project I had done for VKTRY.
I dove into the drawing boards about 10 days prior to my flight to Washington and ended on the tag line ‘From The Ground Up’. With an athlete like Josh Norman, it was pretty easy to go down his list of accolades and dive a bit into his past and where he’s come from and create something people can connect with. It was a long day, flying out of Logan , heading to Washington, DC, and then heading back home immediately after the shoot - but we made the most out of every second that we had with Josh.

I’ve actually known Devin for quite a while. I used to do video work for a local MMA promotion who at the time Devin was fighting for. From his first fight that I filmed, you could tell that this wasn’t just some kid that wanted to fight just because. He put on an absolute clinic. Everything was calculated.
He fought for this promotion for a while, and then another bigger more regional promotion, until he got to fight in-front of Dana White on “Dana White: Lookin’ For A Fight”. The moment Devin got signed to the UFC, I knew I wanted to do a short piece to help tell his story.

Being an avid golfer, when I connected with G/FORE - I couldn’t have been more excited to work on a project with them. For this particular project, they wanted something super clean and simple to stay on brand when posting on their social platforms, while still showing off the craftsmanship and features of their ‘Saddle Gallivanter’. We color matched the background to the sole of the shoe and shot it in studio.
